Becky Holtzman: Taproot

"Lately my work has been concerned with ideas of dwelling: in memory, homes, and ancestral, even genetic, knowledge. In that vein, I wanted to dig back to some earlier work and retrace my path of imagery that is related to taproots. It's always curious to recognize what images stay with me, and how they evolve. The inner workings of life - such as plumbing, skeletal structure, and the deepest roots - are favorite subjects that I never tire of investigating."
