In celebration of National Poetry
Month, Contemporary Albuquerque presents a collection of paintings
by Rini Price and poetry by V.B. Price. This is a selection from
an exhibit at Artspace 116 which is on display through May 13.
Although Rini Price has been
making art for over 50 years, her work has only recently been
shown in public exhibitions. She wrote, "Being a natural
introvert, I worked without feeling the need to be public with
what I was producing. It seemed the healthiest thing for me to
do." In addition to writing and publishing poetry, V.B.
Price is also a political and environmental columnist, novelist,
editor, teacher, and non-fiction writer. The two have collaborated
since the early 1970s; Rini Price has created cover and interior
art for most of V.B. Price's books of poetry. The Prices have
been married since 1969, and have lived in the same house and
on the same land in the Middle Rio Grande Valley. For more information
about V.B. Price, visit vbprice.com.
